Welcome to the website of The Ferry Boat Inn, Ullapool.
We look forward to welcoming you to Ullapool and to providing you with a comfortable and enjoyable stay at The Ferry Boat Inn, right on the shore front in Ullapool. The Ferry Boat Inn offers wonderful sea views (please ask for a sea view when you make your reservation, as not all of our rooms are sea-facing, see below), beautiful accommodation and fine food. We offer a range of local seafood specials (changes daily); please see our Dining page for a sample Menu showing our Lunch Menu, Dinner Menu and also sample Menu of Today's Specials.
The Ferry Boat Inn is open from 11am-11pm 7 days a week, with breakfasts available, coffees, teas, Real Ales, rooms and more. Bar Food is served from 12noon-3pm and Evening Meals from 5.30pm every day.
The Ferry Boat Inn is situated right on the busy main street (Shore Street) in Ullapool, which is a bustlingly fishing port and is the main ferry terminal for the Hebrides. The Ferry Boat Inn is only a 5 minute walk (max) from the Ferry Terminal (Caledonian MacBrayne). 
Take a trip to The Isle of Lewis from Ullapool via Caledonian MacBrayne, The Ferry Boat Inn is very close by for your return accommodation. (www.calmac.co.uk) A day trip to the Isle of Lewis via Caledonian MacBrayne is also available on certain days within the June-September period, further details from Caledonian MacBrayne.
The Ferry Boat Inn was built in the 18th Century on 3 floors which are all accessed by stairs, our first and second floor are level with Shore Street, the third floor is level with Argyle Street behind. We regret that there are no ground floor rooms nor a lift at The Ferry Boat Inn.
NB**People with mobility issues are advised to check before booking. **
At The Ferry Boat Inn (3 Star rating initially awarded 2009, Visit Scotland Inn Member) we offer 9 en suite bedrooms (all recently refurbished), some with spectacular views over Loch Broom as well as a high quality menu with daily specials available and a fine selection of wines, local ales and a wide range of malts. NB: Please ask if you wish to book a room with a sea view, or a room with a preference of bath or shower before booking, as not all rooms are sea-facing.
The use of Local Produce throughout The Ferry Boat Inn is supported wherever possible and particular dietary requirements can also be catered for, please ask when making your reservation. Tea and Coffee making facilities as well as flat screen TV (Freeview), Free Wi-Fi, hair dryers and local tourist information is provided in each bedroom and we welcome guests coming to Ullapool for the first time or returning again and again! Thursday night is Live Music night at the Ferry Boat Inn, so come on in and hear some local musicians Live in the Bar.
Ullapool boasts a wealth of activities both in the local and surrounding area. It is situated some 55 miles from Inverness in the County of Ross and Cromarty and has a wide diverse range of local activities available, such as: Loch Broom Leisure Centre / Swimming Pool / Ullapool Museum & Visitor Centre / Ullapool Golf Course & Boat Trips to The Summer Isles (The Summer Queen). From Ullapool many visitors take a boat trip also to Stornoway (Isle of Lewis) in the Hebrides and with The Ferry Boat Inn situated only minutes from the Ferry Terminal to Lewis, this makes the Inn an excellent base for your holiday whether you wish to stay in Ullapool, or journey north, south or east.
